Privacy Policy

What data does Nina's collect?

Nina's stores all your recipes locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage. We don't have servers, we don't have accounts, and we don't collect any personal information. We do collect anonymous analytics to improve the recipe parser (see "Analytics and tracking" below).

What stays on your device

Everything you add to Nina's lives only on your device:

• Your recipes (titles, ingredients, steps)
• Recipe details (prep time, difficulty, meal types)
• Any edits or customizations you make

If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Analytics and tracking

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how well our recipe parser works.

What we collect:

• Whether recipe parsing detected a title, ingredients, and steps correctly
• How often you need to edit parsed results (so we know where to improve)
• Basic app usage patterns (which features are used)

What we never collect:

• Your recipe content (titles, ingredients, steps)
• Any personal information
• Your location or device identifiers

TelemetryDeck automatically anonymizes user identifiers using cryptographic hashing. We cannot identify individual users.

Third-party services

Nina's uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-respecting analytics (see above). We don't use any other third-party services — no ads, no social media integrations, no external APIs for your recipe data.

Future updates

We may add optional iCloud sync in the future so you can access your recipes across your Apple devices. If we do, it will use Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which means your data stays within Apple's ecosystem and is protected by your Apple ID. This feature would be optional, and we'll update this policy before launching it.
